It's a good news for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans! After a really long wait, Disha Vakani is all set to return to the daily sitcom. The actress, who was on maternity break, didn't resume shooting for TMKOC and left the makers of the show in dilemma. They patiently waited for Disha's return however the actress didn't budge anyway. Producer Asit Modi soon began the hunt for a new face to step into the shoes of Disha Vakani as Daya Ben. Looks like, they don't need a fresh face anymore as Vakani has finally made up her mind to make a comeback. Yes, you read that right! And this piece of news is for real.
According to a Mid-Day report, Disha is all ready to resume shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress recently contacted the makers and informed them about the same. She also clarified that there is no truth to the reports of her exit from the popular comedy show. Disha may join the shoot on May 18. She is currently waiting for Asit Modi's return, who is vacationing in Italy right now. Whatsoever be the case, we are glad Disha didn't give a deaf ear to her fans' requests.
Meanwhile, the producer had hinted at her return in an interview to TimesNow when he said, "Show kisike liye ruka nahi hai. Show sabse upar hai. Aati hai toh bohot acchi hai, yeh toh sone pe suhaaga hai. Agar koi bhi aayega, toh accha hi hone wala hai." However, this was not the case a month ago. In March, the makers officially began the hunt for new Daya ben. Asit had made it clear that they would have to replace Disha as they cannot for her anymore.
"We have given Disha leave and now we cannot wait more so will have to start looking for a new Dayaben. We will have to replace her, for the audience who have waiting for Daya's return," he had told Indian Express.
