You would know that Priyanka Chopra was to star opposite Salman Khan in Bharat but the former had walked out of the film as she wanted to settle down in her personal life. This had apparently didn't sit well with Salman Khan and he had taken subtle digs at the actress' decision back when he was promoting the film with his co-star Katrina Kaif. It was one of the most controversial things surrounding the film as Priyanka had backed out just a couple of days prior to filming.
Everyone wanted to know Priyanka's reaction to Salman Khan's comment and we finally have it. Priyanka Chopra who is currently promoting her film The Sky Is Pink in the city opened up about the same in an interview with Mumbai Mirror. Priyanka was asked if she had got in touch or spoken to Salman about it. Priyanka took it sportingly and said, "The only thing I'd say is that if there was a reaction required you'd have had it by now. Salman is amazing. I've always admired him. He came for Nick and my reception, we went to his house, I'm really close to his sister (Arpita Khan). So, there's never an issue with him."
So that's that. Rest now all you fans out there. Both Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra are on friendlier terms.
For the unversed, Salman Khan had revealed the time when Priyanka wanted to be a part of the project but it didn't happen. "After all this, the 'Nick story' happened, the embarrassing thing happened and she chose to get married," Salman had said in a media interaction.
We went on to add that Priyanka did what she wanted to do. "Look, she did the right thing. She did what she wanted, and Katrina got what she deserved. She (Priyanka) informed us five days before the schedule was supposed to start... she must have thought that in this way I would get upset with her and will never work with her. She spoke to me saying, 'Nick has proposed to me and I want to get married, so there will be some date issues'. I said, 'Sure, get married, we can adjust those two, three days,'" he added.
